Kelly 's love of singing started at an early age, singing along to her favourite songs, and performing in front of whoever would listen!
It wasn't until university that she found her true voice, performing at local open mic evenings, both alongside other musicians and as a soloist. This also inspired her love of songwriting.
Kelly has worked with musician and music producer Kev Andrews, who discovered James Morrison, writing original songs and recording music in the studio.
During her time living in Lincolnshire, Kelly has won the RAF Idol competition, which led to her singing alongside the RAF Swing Wing from RAF Cranwell at Lincoln Drill Hall, as well as Whitley Hall and The Petwood Hotel.
Kelly specialises in 1940s, 50s & 60s, where her voice truly transcends the feel of the era, singing the hits of Vera Lynn, The Andrews Sisters, Doris Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Dusty Springfield and Connie Francis to name but a few. This had led her to regularly performing at a variety of events such as 1940s weekends across the country, countywide shows and private functions.
In recent years, Kelly has expanded her repertoire. Her vocal talents mean that she can take on vintage classics and rock n roll, as well as soul, Motown and pop hits from artists such as Amy Winehouse, Tina Turner, the Noisettes and reimagined vintage inspired acts such as Postmodern Jukebox.
Over the past few years, Kelly Ann has also written and starred in her own jukebox musicals, performing across Lincolnshire at venues such as the Broadbent Theatre alongside fellow vocalist Cleopatra Ridgeway. For more information on these shows, contact Kelly Ann through the contacts page.
